Sophie and Mercedes had the pleasure of visiting the EHA congress this year alongside our valued collaborators from Dr Rhys Morgan’s lab at the University of Sussex. The main highlight was watching Dr David Palmer presenting the results of our joint work – where we have identified a subset of RUNX1-mutated AML patients who have an extremely strong positive response to venetoclax due to their mitochondrial adaptation to stress induced by the mutated protein.
